View Full Version : Crimson? Woman - Ink - Digital

Original ink line drawing, done with Micron .005 pen and then digitally colored in Photoshop. Now, I call this Crimson Woman because I am hoping that is the color I choose....being color-blind I am just winging it :D:)

PS: Cross-posted in the Pen & Ink forum :)

It was suggested to me to try crimson highlights in the hair instead of blue and the result is below. Now I can't decide which one I like better. I will eventually paint this with acrylic inks :D:)

The blue hair does it for me! Beautiful work. Has a Vargas Girl quality to it. How is the world you you paint if you are color blind? Your work is so engaging, I was caught off guard when you stated that.

I am interested to know how you go forward with this one

THANKS for commenting alfaro and Mary :D

I am leaning more towards the blue, because I think it adds something interesting to the drawing. When I paint or use any color medium I just look for the name of the color on the tube, jar or pencil. If it's not there I just wing it and pick something that to me looks like the color I want. It can be RISKY BUSINESS!!! LOL :D:)

I like it.
Very patriotic colors for Americans.
