View Full Version : Help! Can I save my mold?

Hi- I did a ceramic bas relief and made a plaster mold of it, planning on making some liquache casts...

My plaster mold had a big air bubble, and stupidly, I filled it with 2 part resin.

As you can probably guess, the liquache glued itself to the spots where it touched the resin.

Does anyone have an idea how I can get it out without destroying my mold?

Any help hugely appreciated!

Since you didn't make a photo of what it looks like it's hard to visualize a way to fix it.

If it is possible, can you drill in and remove resin fill to the point where the liquache meets it. Then from the same direction you drilled out the resin, before removing liquache, pour additional plaster in to fill?

Hope this gives you some ideas. :( I can't think of anything else with out seeing some detail.
