Beautiful MM. Can't decide which one I prefer, I love the colours and the almost satiny look to the petals. Really good work

Mouse...you *can't* get much better than THIS!! They are GORGEOUS! Both of them!
If I *had* to chose a favorite, it would be the first. I love the color, the detail and the composition is PERFECT!
(Do you dry the Lotus seed pods? I just love them in autumn arrangements!)

Thank you everyone - these two photos and a third are going to be mated together and put in a large frame.
Yes Julie I do dry and use the seed pod.
LOL MM :-)

These are superb macros, Mouse. The definition and detail are almost unbelievable and the colour just beautiful. Just looking at them I can feel the satiny texture of the petals. You did well.

Do you have to bring this plant in from the pond during winter? Just wondering. Someone gave me a light pink one and so far it hasn't reestablished itself. I repotted it yesterday and the tubers are still hard so it must still be alive. Question?

Marilyn - yes you have to bring it in during our east coast winters. I let it stay out in the pond until the first frost and the leaves die back. Then we bring the fiberglass pond it is in into the basement. The plant stays dormant with a small air stone running all winter. In the spring I start feeding it and as soon as we are safe from frost the pond and lotus go outside.
