I think I'm going to do this, but in a bit different fashion... I'd like it to be, I think, a bit more wild sort of thing... lots of movement, impasto... like i used to paint... But I've also really enjoyed the input I've been getting here on my drawings before starting the process of painting, so, here it is.

Oh, my, no matter which way she turns, she's in danger! There is already a lot of movement in this.
I will be watching for sure.

Thanks Ella... Dangers handled skillfully are a joy to watch. It's just a quick drawing, but I was watching a bunch of videos about Chuck Connelly recently and was inspired by his "There are no mistakes" philosophy, and thought this would be a good outlet for that inspiration.
is there significance to the 'giant hoop' she's leaning into?

Thanks La. It's her space. She creates it, she controls it, while she's juggling life in an uncertain, chaotic and dangerous world.

this is a nice surprise, some pieces just take a while, right, i can relate
symbolism everywhere, nice play with light and dark
i'd love a close up of her face, is she terrified or in control, unable to decipher
lovely action anyway, i feel somehow that vincent would approve

Hi La! Vincent would approve, ha! Yeah, I was looking over some old threads and realized that I had never posted the end result of this work. Though it was completed some time ago, I was havering trouble with the site uploading images so I stopped for a while, but now that I have a new machine I would like to try and participate here again. I've gotten some good advice in the past so it's good to be back.
I'll take a close up photo when I get home and post this evening.

could go either way, i like that, tension

Oh please change the name to "There be dragons." Drat, you won't I am sure. Nice job!

Definitely interesting and well done... although the dragon at the top seems to have lost his tail and at first glance I thought the girl had grown one. Cannot imagine it in my living space even though I am a huge Asian Art fan.

This is terrific! Well done!

There be dragons indeed! Yeah, could go either way I think you're right La. Samadhi means concentration, if done in spite of terror then that seems like a form of control, even if only self control. Yes the painting is perhaps odd or too colorful or loud for some to imagine in their living rooms, and to them I say, put it in the bathroom! I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them Sam I am! Oh rabbits and what they do! Fine then. I guess it is sort of asianesque, though not traditionally so. Maybe that's the rub. Thanks for all the nice comments y'all. His tail is gone, her tails sooo long, my minds all gone!

I'm in love with the contours of her body. Especially her ribs and the undersides of her ribs. As well as the shimmering golden sea she is erupting from. Terrific work!
