This is a 15-minutes sketch, I was experimenting with the toned paper, using white chalk and a black charcoal pencil.

Hey Julia. It doesn't look like this is going to be a real crowded forum so maybe we can learn some things from each other. I like this one - you have the highlights working nicely and opposing darks pop your forwards out well. You've gotten the essentials in fifteen minutes. Nice work.
Are these from a class or life drawing group?

Hi Julia, nice work and always nice to be able to work fast...it seems many artists best work is the part done quickly.
P.S. May I suggest that you re-edit your post and delete all of the reference lines that say you edited the post, that way only one such line (the last edit) will appear at the bottom..it distracts from your image, the way it is now.

Paint abstract shapes of color...
When painting onto a flat surface, think flat shapes of color. Don't try to paint around an object. We're not sculpting...think; flat, flat, flat." - Christine LaFuente...(this coaching was given in a workshop on 'still life' and would also apply to 'portrait' and 'figure' studies)
