Here's a story that was told to me a while ago. In light of the discussions we're having in TAW group and here on this forum, I thought it might be appropriate. Enjoy.

One day a man, a boy, and a donkey are traveling across the land. The boy is riding on the donkey and the man is pulling the donkey.

They come to a clearing where there are a number of old people. The old people see the boy riding on the donkey and the man walking; they become incensed, and they yell at the young boy saying "you're a strong young man how can you let this old man walk?" The man and the boy look at each other and decide fair is fair, so they decide to switch places.

They keep traveling and reach another clearing. In this clearing are a group of younger mothers. The mothers grow incensed, saying, "you're such a strong man and he's such a young boy how can you let him walk while you ride?" The man and the boy look at each other and shrug. Upon thinking about what both groups had told them, they decide that they will both ride on the donkey.

They continue to travel until they reach the next clearing, where there are a group of animal rights activists. These people grow incensed and start to yell at the man and the boy saying, "you're two strong people, how can you treat this poor animal this way?" The man in the boy talk with each other, and they decide they both will now carry the donkey.

They continue traveling until they reach a roaring river. As they cross the river, they slip, lose hold of the donkey, and the donkey is carried downstream by the currents and drowns.

What's the moral of the story?

THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS: IF YOU LISTEN TO OTHER PEOPLE, YOU'LL LOSE YOUR ASS.

Nuff Said!
