These are Oil on Canvas and both are 12x16 Inches. The second painting is displayed in the second posting. These are part of larger series I am doing with varying sizes. Feedback would be appreciated. Thank you!

"Cold"
nice depth
they’ve got a good feel to them
liking the straight lines
the deviation
motion hung out and stilled
perhaps briefly
but stilled nonetheless

Love the heat the first one produces. Like the flow of it: motion. Wild native dancing before a blazing fire even. :)
The negative/positive used to demonstrate the cold of dark and ice was clever.
Looking forward to the seeing the series. Like the uniformity re: composition & styles. :)

Thank you Tam and Heh! I appreciate your perspectives. Tam, I like your interpretation of "Heat" - "Wild native dancing before a blazing fire even." I wanted to convey hot, sultry, burning coals type of heat. Heh, the lines were a bit of an afterthought. Without, the paintings lack some of the depth you say you like. Again, thanks. This feedback really helps as I continue to paint more like this.

The second one has a Georgia O'Keefe feel to it which is mezmerizing! Lovely shading and movement.

Georgia O'Keefe! I am very flattered. I really like her work. Many people only know her by the flower paintings. Her other work has influenced me a good deal.
Thank you!

They both have a sense of depth - the first one has a luminosity that I really like. Good job!
