Beautiful pictures!
Are these yours? You've taken some really nice vacations!

That bighorn sheep looks hungry enough to eat the photographer, though...I wonder what his story is?
Perhaps there was a drought at the time, or maybe he's an advanced age (look at the size of his horns!), and has tooth trouble, preventing him from eating enough...hmmm...

Thanks for posting!

The photos are all mine, from a trip to the US (Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona) I took last month.

The bighorn sheep is very old, my guess would be around 15 years. He didn't seem to be in any pain or discomfort, just slow and old.

Thanks for the picts, Jennifer.

I did the squirrel with a generic pencil I had on the desk in my ledger book.

Good squirrel Rainy! Sort of like looking thru a window screen at him... free, while we work indoors, LOL!

Lovely photos and awesome squirrel rainy.

The second rock photo is kinda like what youe would see in the northern terriotry (at the top of australia), similar rich orange and ochre colours. The aboriginals grind the rocks to use for their body paint.

Nice one, Toowoomba. . . is that pen and markers?! If so, what kind of markers are they? Like it!

Thanks rainy and debby. I used tombow and pitt coloured pens for the landscape. I couldn't resist drawing the robin as well.

Lovely sketches from everyone :)

Toowoomba, I tried and failed miserably to draw those rocks. Your version is gorgeous, you captured the orange glow very well!

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/23-Aug-2012/227595-IMG_1191.JPG Hello, people.

Some lovely sketches here so far.
I've never posted any artwork before now, but I couldn't pass up the pictures this week. :) I check into this forum fairly regularly to see how the various art journals are developing. I hope it's not too tacky of me to join in when I don't have a journal thread.

I sketched this old fellow using pencil, ink, watercolor, and a wee bit of colored pencil.

Here's to hoping the image will upload properly! ;)

Thanks, Debbie and Rainy.

Rainy, I thought your plain ink outlines were lovely, but you really know how to use your color!

Toowoomba, you have something good going with those pen sketches; I particularly like how you manged to suggest so much detail on the rocks without getting too technical with it.

I'm in awe of all the rock drawings. They are gorgeous!
