Idallen,

I replied to your earlier post, guess you didn't read it. We need to know what browser you are using and whether it's on a MAC or a PC.

Idallen, do you mean that when you select print in your browser, that only the words print? It would be helpful if you could supply a bit more information about what you're doing and the result you're getting.

I have just tried to print out a lesson. Some of the page was too wide to fit on my paper and got chopped off. One area of text became long thin column. The solution was to set my paper to print in landscape rather than portrait format. However, either way both words and pictures printed both times.

yeah,,,she means that when she saves a site page , the pix don't show, only text.

i would use a screen capture utility. my paint shop pro has such a tool.

or how about , saving the screen,,,saving the pic,,,then cut/paste the pic back onto the saved site....{M}

Ah, must be using Netscape then.

Yep, either of those will work.

Or install IE. It will recursively follow the dirs and download the pics as well.

I was getting on to delete this message but you were all too quick for me. I was having a (very) dumb moment. I was trying to save, paste, whatever. Then it occurred to me to simply print from the original screen!! Yes I have Netscape but I don't really need to save what I want as long as I can print it. I apologize and thank you all for your tolerance!!!

Les

Thanks Beau, I found it! Sometimes I forget I even have Internet Explorer.

In internet explorer..almost all versions.... if you will go to the advanced internet options it gives you a choice of if you want to print the page including the photo's and text....if this is unchecked you only get text !

Depending on the version you can find it under the top "File" "View" or "Tools" listings.

Simple!

I use an HP tool for doing web page printing, it's called HP Web PrintSmart Software.

It does a neat capture of the page and then allows you to set up some 'house standards' if you like (ie. default fonts etc). The good thing about it is that it seems to do a faithful render of the page and gets over some of those irrating page break issues.

I got it off a PC mag, so I imagine you could download it from the HP website (http://www.hp.com I would guess).

Hope this helps...

Steve Howe:
Off subject a bit...but you sent me an email yesterday about the demise of the Baldwin Gallery. I replied to the email. My reply to you came back as undeliverable...and said the email header MIGHT HAVE BEEN FORGED. I'm assuming it meant the header of the original email from you.

Any ideas on what's going on?

Not sure why your note got bounced, I'll Email you again and let's see what happens. I've been meaning to talk to you for a bit...wanna put up a Virtual Exhibition in my Gallery?
