Oh! Golly....another super picture to watch ...You are really making me itch to try this Bob.
I will have to add scratchboards to my ever lengthening Christmas list:D
When you say a straight pin is it a pin in a holder:confused:

Hi Chris,

Yes, I cut the head of the pin off and place the pin in an xacto knife holder. Works great!!!

Absolutely beautiful!
I covered paper in charcoal then erased a picture. This was a creative exercise in an art class.
I really enjoyed it- working negatively.
Just out of curiosity, are you left handed?

Hi Simcha,

No I am not left handed. I do not think of working negatively. My thought process is that of drawing light and not shadows. I think I would drive myself nuts if I thought about negative space.

Here is the final update on the raccoons. Had to get a new scanner between the first pic and this one. Finally got one!! :)

This is marvelous, Bob! I love the composition, and can really appreciate your expertise in depicting tonal ranges, especially now that I've tried my hand at this medium a few times. Wonderful work!
