Hi all.. Im new to the forum though not new to WC and have just returned from a 2 week trip to Sweden where I had the pleasure of spending two days on a pastel workshop run by our very own Colorix.

What a fab 2 days it was too, it totally refocused what I wanted and needed to do to push things forward, In oil painting ( my normal medium ) and re ignited my love of pastels as a medium.

Expect to see some of my daubs posted on here in the near future, as I will certainly be working more in pastel in the future.

A big thanks to Charlotte for the inspirational workshop. The weather wasn't on our side for painting en plein air but I learnt so much and had a brilliant time at too.

Welcome to the forum, Mark. How wonderful to have had two weeks to not only explore beautiful Sweden but to have the pleasure of taking a workshop with our own inspiring Charlie. Lucky you. Look forward to seeing your work here.

Glad to hear you were able to attend Charlie's workshop! I have learned more about color from Charlie here on WC in the past few years than I learned in my first 30 years as an artist, so I'm not surprised that you are energized and excited! We look forward to seeing some of your pastels in the future!

Hi Mark and welcome to the dusty side! You certainly got a good start doing a workshop with Charlie. A few weeks ago I painted plein air with her in Sweden. Seems a long time ago now!
