scott metioned that the tiny head gif's can't be more than 50k. mine are 3-5k(i have 6).
my question is how is it possible to add that much more info into a 60x60 gif? where does all that extra info come from?....{M}

I think it spreads out the pixels....
I usually do mine in pixels, not inches.

So if you want to save something to 50K (jpg), how many pixels is it?? (O.K. so I'm not a technological genius!)

Okay, Milt, I admit it - the 50K was pulled from my rear end. :-) Completely arbitrary. I really should lower it, to say, 5K or so.

Cheers.

Yeah, isn't best .gif 256 colors? 60x60x1 byte per pixel = 3600 bytes plus a little overhead for type information. If you animate it, you could squeeze in a dozen frames for that original 50K Scott threw out. That's assuming the system accepts animated .gifs for tiny heads?

Uploaded an animated tiny head as a test, but it doesn't show up on old posts, so I'm seeing if it shows up once I make a new one.

Ok, they do work, but does anyone find mine as annoying as I do? Haha, I guess I'll leave it here to annoy and discourage while I work on one that's much less so... or not animated at all.

Haha, it does wear on ya doesn't it... right from the beginning!

Looks like I won't get around to doodling a real, and regular, one this weekend so I've just overwritten with a transparent .gif to save everyone from looking at it in the meantime.

Please refresh a page if you're still seeing me!

P.S. Scott, if you're reading this, can there be a way to delete our tiny head and have none!?
