I have been really intrigued by the pastel/conte/chalk work of Paul Pierre Prud'hon and was so glad to find a thread on him in the drawing and sketching forum.

The following is a link to a website of a WC member, Rebecca, who is pretty amazing in her own right. On it she lays out a 10 step process to working with soft pastel or conte in figure drawings. That's my next goal, The Figure.

I am wondering if the techniques might not also be usefull in other contexts. I'm going to try and if my efforts aren't to embarassing I'll report back

Thanks Nori... This site has been on my list of favs for a while, thanks for reminding me I had bookmarked it.... his work is rather wonderful isn't it.

Hey, looks interesting...bookmarked and will check it out...thanks! Looks like his drawings were to other drawings of that period as Rodin's sculptures were to other sculptors...I'm INTERESTED!!!!
