All finished except for the bands behind the wolves. I plan of doing it in fractured gradient segments in all in one color or gradient like the sun but I am having trouble wondering which way to go. My husband is no help as doesn't like any of these.:(

I droped out the background in PS and played with many different colors. Some look horrible. You can play with it if you like. I need feedback.

BTW, I need help with a title too

I like the first color combination best, then the third. I really don't like the second at all. Just my opinion.

A native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about how he felt. He said 'I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one.' The grandson asked him, 'Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?' The grandfather answered: 'The one I feed.'

Of the three images you have posted I prefer the first - however I would suggest that you break the vertical black to brown band with imprint lines of the background (land and sky) a bit like a fossil imprint perhaps.
You extended the trees into the sun / sky section which is effective in breaking that compartmentalization thing.

Just a suggestion - the wolves look good

I like the first one also! I like your little story too Andrew =)) It is a stunning painting, great play with colours on the wolves, and their expressions and movement are wonderful. =)) Cheers. Debs.

The first one. But you don't tell us anything about the pictures. What is the media and size and surface.

What struck me was the power of the pack, and that the background was too distracting to the wonderful movement you have created. So maybe tamp down the background to focus on the wolves, and call it Silent Runners? :) Just some more ideas to play around with. Beautiful work.

The hue of the sun and the wolves intermingle visually.
That bothers me, but if it was the moon...then the blue moon or sepia moon colors would put the COI back on the wolves.
Right now the COI is the Sun and the Wolves.

I prefer the black background. The composition on this is great, exciting. Very good work, indeed

"Running the Moon"
"Moon Runners"

In this case I wanted it to be the sun because I wanted to keep a warm feeling throughout the piece.
