This is a painting which got stuck halfway, I roughed in the backgroung and did the main a/c, it was then left lying around for about 3 years. I finaly finished it, and even got it framed (unusual for me) and it is still in the pile against the 'studio' wall.

Wonderful painting Jim. It's a delightfully different treatment of the subject matter.

A Wonderful scene. Excellent portrayal of old aircraft after they have served their time!!

I really like this one. The airplane has so much going on it captivates the viewer. Well done. :)

Thanks for commenting Mark, I have been lucky enough to be able to explore several dumps like this, unfortunately usually the fire dump. Some types I found, SeaHornet, Seahawks,Attackers, Gannets, and some so far gone, were unrecognisable. Towards the end of me time in the Fleet Air Arm we were given full sized steel mock ups of Buccaneers and Wessex helicopters. They certainly lasted longer, but it just wasn't the same.
