MY COMMENTS:
I did this painting over two days. i wanted to contrast the starkness of the white to the splashes of colour and to make it stand out so as to arrest the vision.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
i wish to have a general critique of the painting.

I think this is an interesting concept. To make the dancer stand out more, you could deepen the values of the background. You could also shadow her silhouette, making darkest areas for gestural emphasis. I think I would include reds for more vibrancy and energy since you want arresting imagery.

The anatomy seems a bit off and unclear, notably on the leg that extends backwards.

I think I would also add some dimensional tiers to her skirt for movement, showing the underside edges of her garment when she moves.
