Title: English sky, July
Dimension: 16 x 12
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!
It was so nice to see a splash of blue out of the window the other day, I had to get out my oils and paint it.
This is a study, so I was not trying to create a 'painting' in any other sense.
MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
General comments welcome, please.

A succesful study! You've painted the air credible and added artistic value. Right now I'm beginning to feel my neck, as if I'm looking upwards all the time!

I just love that!
I was sat under something very similar today.
One good thing has come of the 'poor' summer we are having, at least!

Very nice... can imagine a bird flying around up there. :)

Really like this alot! Don't like seeing your initials though. If at all, I'd make them pale, white, and loopy so they just kind of blend in. I'd probably sign the back.

You captured the moment and the mood beautifully. =)) I agree about the initials, a bit too obvious. =))

This! Freaky brain-eye thing going on. Wonderful study. Fade initials so they are not a poi and you are fine!

Jonny this is just beautiful. It reminds me of the Sistine Chapel. Great works! Carol

Thanks for all your wonderful comments! They took me completely by surprise!
I'll knock the initials back a bit - they do stand out a bit, although not so much on the original - it's not true that 'cameras never lie' when it comes to colour, but they still need subduing all the same.
I'm very curious and intrigued about your 'aha' moment, La...

I like as a painting, makes me feel like I'm looking straight up in the air
