can anyone tell me anything about this medium? i have been told that vinyl paint is quite like acrylics and will not crack as easily but are they better in any other sense?

also, are they considered more toxic ?

thanks,
dante

Dante,
you might also like to try posting this in Acrylics to see if you get any response. I haven't tried them. (well I do use paint on my paper sculptures)

vinyl paints kick ass! there is a french brand (or maybe french canadian?) called flash that is really creamy, liquid, and versatile. they are generally more fluid than the average acrylic. vinyl paints have a different finish from acrylics and are more flexible. i haven't made any yet but i'm getting ready to work on a set right after i finish the wax temperas!

vinyl paints are not less toxic than acrylics, as far as i can tell. acrylics outgas like any plastic and i assume that vinyl paints do, too.
