Jackie, thanks so much for this simple 1.2.3. step demonstration to painting with pastels.

I'm one of those who fails to do a thumbnail sketch 'most' of the time...and your demo shows how valuable a tool it can be. Especially to the plein air painter!

I know all of us will benefit from this demo! Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to provide it for us!!

Sure might. Like me. Here. ;)

For some reason tone values are something I've always had trouble seeing and reproducing, so in the past, I've tended to "draw" with pastels rather than paint. The approach in this little article will be a real help to me as I try to expand my boundaries!
