Carly! These 'Crayannes' are amazing! I wouldn't have believed the intensity of the crayon colors if i hadn't seen them with my own eyes! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I took this to my critique class to show the use of Crayolas and the instructor gave me some critique remarks.

1. My beard area is completely unfinished, since I show no hint of separation of mustache and beard and no mouth at all.
2. My proportions on the left hip area are wrong...too narrow for a sitting person.
3. My pants look ragged and unfinished.
4. The left hip, the one that is crossed is too solid..shows no value changes.
5. The area on the left (what I think is a gate) is uninteresting.
6. The only interesting area in my work is the right side with the various colors.
7. But it does show an interesting use of a difficult medium for layering color.

I told the group it was a copy because I'm studying some of Cezanne's work.

How about that!
