View Full Version : Silkscreen, first time

Hi, I have used silkscreen before... in 5th grade. In my art class, our next assignment is silkscreen. I'm having a little trouble deciding what would be the funnest/most challenging kind of picture to do. We are allowed 1-3 colors, but no more. Text is voluntary, but pictures are mandatory. I want something intricate that I can really get into (love detailed stuff). When we're finished we'll put the designs on t-shirts ...Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for techniques (my teacher isn't very good at teaching) or good subject material. Please reply, I'd much appreciate it! Thanks!

PS. I've seen some 'professional' silkscreen artwork... I don't want that detailed! We have one week to finish.

An apple for the teacher. ---- paint an apple with a worm in it. Put a smile on the worm. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Seniors hate to leaf. ---- paint a tree with leaves...put names of Seniors on a few of the leaves.... Top caption reads Graduation 2001! ...bottom caption reads Seniors hate to leaf. (Your English teacher will love this one.)

Huge Sunburst ---- Caption ...rise and shine, make the most of each day.

Moon with stars ----- Caption ... Take time to count your stars.

Waves of water----- Caption... Life is like a wave...build a strong boat.
