I've been drawing pretty regularly, but, hadn't done anything digital in a while. Playing around with the airbrush tool in Painter.

Absolutely gorgeous! I like the monochrome look here.

Don't you find you prefer the airbrush tool in Painter as opposed to, say, Photoshop? I find it seems to flow more realistically.

Thanks for the compliment! This is my first completely airbrushed pic in Painter. It helped me learn some things about how to better use Painter's airbrush tool.

I'm just beginning to like Painter's airbrushes. I've found that for me to use them effectively, I need to lower the the opacity and grain to less than 10%. I've tended to use Photoshop's airbrushes more because I felt they had a steadier "flow" and I like that you control the attributes of the brush and the canvas independent of each other. But, for realism overall, I have to go with Painter.

Maybe I'll give it a go in Photoshop just to see how it works out.
