cool! looks like a painting and doesn't simply look filtered. What did you do to make it? Looks sharp - nice job

Hi,

I came back here to comment on your work, but I don't see the picture anymore.

From what I remember, I too was very impressed in how the piece looked painted not digital at all. I'd love to know how you did it.

I thought the detail on the bodies - higlights and shadows particularly were very successful.

Well, I'll check back later to see if my system is just glitching and try to see the picture again.

I like the brushwork on this. The figures appear to be statues in front of a church's stained glass window. Is this your interpretation of Pieta?

Actually that version of the thread has been closed -- here's the real thread: http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/Forum26/HTML/000115.html

As I mentioned in the other thread, why not publish this as an article using the <a href="http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/Publisher/">WetCanvas article publishing system</a>? It would appear in the Digital Art channel under Newswire, then. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

As for the image itself, beautiful. Very painterly, and not obviously Photoshop. I really love the boldness and contrast, the color scheme, and the expressions of the figures. The layered color effect helps a lot, I think.
