View Full Version : Daily Scumble 28 June
Ok, I see Sophie, Smudger (the winner of the whitest legs contest) and kat are all on right now, so I hope this doesn't become a duplicate daily.
We've cancelled out on the casino boat today because the weather is threatening for the afternoon. So that leaves - more cleaning or painting for today!
I'm up way too early for a Saturday, but both dogs insisted it was time to get up - they need blindfolds so they don't know the sun is up.
I had eggs for breakfast, no pancakes.
Hope you all have a lovely day!

Good Morning All: Very overcast today - I might actually be able to get out to the studio and work - it has been so hot the little air conditioner I have out there couldn't keep up.
It's amazing how much you miss it when you can't pastel. Going to clear out a space in the back bedroom to use oil pastels when I can't get out to the studio - no mess!
Doe: I have been on a casino boat in south Florida out in the gulf - they can be fun, but if the water is rough those little boats can't take it.

Getting ready to take a quick visit to the local sidewalk art festival here in Saco. Then I have to go to a wedding shower. My cousin's 40 year old son finaly found a wonderful young woman and they are getting married this fall. So there is hope for us all! He's really a nice "kid" too so we are very happy for him.
Have not been able to paint yesterday and probably not today. Too much RL stuff going on. Hopefully I can get some in tomorrow.
It is supposed to be a little cooler here as well so that is good.
Have a good day everyone!

We're off to the Russian River to stay at the River's End Inn if everything goes ok. the fog has come into the coast but it will be grande walking the beach. Waiting for a call back to confirm the reservations.
Sandy - left you a note with your photo about white legs:evil:  - but there is really no doubt that I've got the whitest ones in history!!! Sandy - are you in Saco all the time? I think I mentioned I'll be selling art at a local fair on Peaks Island August 10th. Any chance you'll be around?
Finished this today, just a practice piece, about 16"x20" I think.
Having a chilled w/e for a change ... haircut, tapas lunch w/ my husband and a bit of window-shopping. Now we've got friends coming over for a barbecue. Hope everyone's having a great day! :)

Great little ":practice" painting E-J! I like it a lot.
Yep...we are here all summer Barb. I remember you mentioned that and have been thinking if maybe I can get over there.
We took the boat up there a couple of summers ago and had lobsters rolls for lunch. It was a great trip over but on the way back everyone but hubby and I got really, really seasick. Whenever I think of Peak's Island it's what I think of! I have to get beyond that! :lol
Yep...my legs is white! :D
Super painting E-J... that's a big one too... B-B-Q was good I take it.:)
Russian River's Rver's End Inn...Redbridge show....Festivals, .....wedding parties.... New studios... and ........

Our trip ended up not happening.
We drove up to the Russian River/beach and turned around after hitting two giant traffic jams. Unfortunately I didn't do my research and there was a Blues Festival in the area this weekend so no hotels or inns available either.
The best part was finding a farm stand and stocking up on some of the most delicious fruits and vegetables around.
Dawn, EJ - hope you guys snap out of your slumps. But judging from the art work you're generating EJ - you're not in a slump at all.
