He stood behind me
with adoring eyes
roses extended
How could I refuse.

Hi TeAnne,
I'm assuming you're looking for comments. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

This digital pic is very sweet. The verse accompanying it helps emphasize the romantic aspects. It makes me wonder who these people are, how things turned out, and so on... Is this a gift for friends perhaps? Or for yourself?

If you're looking for advice about technique, I'd make several comments. Obviously I may be misinterpreting what you were going for here -- if so let me know! I'm figuring you were going for a fairly believable look.

Because of the hard edge on the people's hair, against the black background, it makes them look a little 'pasted in'. You might want to consider softening that, if you want to avoid an obvious collage approach.

The combination of the vignette effect (blue halo) with the frame-type border seems to make this piece look a little crowded, to me. Maybe it's because there's no real empty space, no breathing room between figure and halo and frame? Not sure. On the upside, it does add to the 'layered' look, with the flowers there, and adds a little depth. What do you think?

Other than that the only thing I'd really say is that the copyright line is so high contrast, it's very dominant and I think it takes the focus away from your subjects. If you're looking for suggestions about that, I would make it much less obvious -- visible, sure, but not overwhelmingly so.

What programs are you using for your digital work? I've seen a variety of techniques used and I'm not sure if this was done with the same program as your "Adam" piece. Either way, keep it up and have some fun!

Thanks pixelscapes, This was just something I did paste together. I was wanting to get close to this yummy actor. (This is as close as I will ever get) LOLOL It was just a fun piece and experiment in cutting out the figures with the mouse and pasting two pics on the same plane. Thank you so much for your input, I will remember when next I try this type of thing. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif
Sorry I forgot to add that I was using psp5 at the time.
