I'd like a little critique on my first attempts at digital art. I really like working with it and plan to do many more soon. But, I wanted a good opinion on these first attempts.

Nice work, nice website!

I'll make some suggestions... they are directed towards digital artists in general making this type of work, not just you specifically. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

I do notice that these first two pieces are very heavy on the crossfades (and crossfaded text). In my experience, this can work sometimes artistically, but it can also make your work look a lot more "computerized" than not. That is to say, it can make it look like you just made some collage from pieces you didn't make yourself (even if you did!). (but, I think your work does have the artist's touch -- see below)

I'd say, given the collage approach, always make sure to add your own personal touch to what you're creating. The inclusion of your own sketches (which I see you do) helps fulfill that role perfectly, I think. Another thing you might want to consider -- do some pieces using your own handwriting instead of (or in combination with) a font. It can help add to the expressive feel.

Good luck in your efforts!
