View Full Version : SideSaddle - Finished??

Well, I think this is finished but would like your opinion :) Now that I see it here, I think it might need a bit more shading in the upper left area. What do you think? :D

PS: Cross-posted in the Drawing forum :)

Murray, excellant !! no I don't think any more shading is necessary. Looks to me you have completed and it is excellant. I can just envision this matted, frame and hung. Great job.

Hi Murray,

This is awesome. I can see why you'd say it may need more shading, though, in the area you just finished. Maybe just a tad darker values. :D

THANKS for commenting Bob and Monica :D:)

I did do a bit more shading on the upper left area. Can you see any difference? :)

Perfecto! That last bit of shading did the job, Murray:D Beautiful piece. I never have ridden side saddle. I never used a saddle period until I was grown....lol

Bingo Bango - you got it! Looks great Murray. I agreed with your further shading comment but you had it done before I could agree. :)

I think it is perfect now Murray, the last touches in the upper left area were what it needed. You have done a great work.

I think the extra shading gave the tooling a bit more depth. I love the piece! It looks like you could just run your finger down the strap and actually feel the leather!!! Wonderful!!!

You said exactly what I was going to say. The upper left is a bit flatter and is losing the perception of roundness. Push it just a little further and call it done.

It's a phenomenal piece, Murray! :D
