Here's my latest done on hot press arches with micron pens. It is from a photo in the image library. I thought it came out pretty well, but not sure about the hay. What do you think?

Inkling, stippling creases like this is pretty difficult. I think you did a great job on it. I havent seen the ref pic, but seen enough Elephant pics to tell this pretty good.

If I had any crit, it would be thre are some areas where you could have used smaller dots and some areas you could have left un shaded copletely to get more contrast. But overall very nice.

You did some good stippling here:D The hay looks ok, but maybe a little more shading in the hay itself, very light, and some darker value where the hay meets the elephants hide to show a light source would do the trick of making the hay stand out more.

Gorgeous Inky.... the elephant is fantastic.
I agree with Sassy the hay needs more darks ....especially where the trunk meets the hay...just to make the trunk stand out but you did a marvelous job with this.....well done:clap:

It is a wonderful drawing.

My only suggestion is to create more contrast -
make some dark areas darker and you will have a very bold and spectacular drawing!

Thank you all for your kind comments. :)

I agree about the hay. That's probably what was bothering me about it.

Thanks,

Donna

I think there does need to be a bit more contrast with the light and dark but I think you did an excellent job!!!

Wow! Love the folds in the trunk. With the others, just a little bit more contrast would be nice. Awesome. What pen sizes did you use?

It is fantastic. I love this elefant. I also agree with the others about the contrast, but anyway it is beautiful. Which size is it?

Thanks all for your comments. The elephant is 6 X 5 and I used 005, 01 and 08 micron pens.

My hand hurts just looking at all those dots. Excellent technique. Agree with everyone that a little more contrast would add drama.
