Two RN Gannets over fly the Bass Rock in the Firth of Forth with the Northern Lighhouse Tender 'May'in attendance. The Bass is the home of the second biggest colony of Gannets in the world.

You've caught the Gannets well Jim - they were ugly aircraft - unlike their feathered namesake. Lots of guano on the rock!

Wish I had a £ for every time I directed one onto the catapult.
Number one son lives about 3miles from the Bass, and at times it looks as though it is made of chalk, and it prongs a bit as you get near it.

A very inventive and effective composition Jim. The passage to the Bass Rock is renowned for being rough and I remember several attempts to reach the rock in small boats for TV programmes having to be abandoned.

Hi Yorky, been out a couple of times, last time about this time last year, you do tend to get a bit wet!, and there is always someone in the boat gets 'bombed' by the gannets!
