Copyrights

I am interested in copyrighting my artwork. I have done a few equine portraits on commission without having the paintings copyrighted. I would like to market my work more widely, and would feel more secure if it was protected. How do I go about this process?

Your work is copyrighted the minute you paint it or put it in hard copy. It is always best to register a work with the copyright office though so you can have a legal leg to stand on in case you had to.
