MY COMMENTS:
My first attempt with a palette knife have I overdone the texture on the rock and I'm not very happy with the breaking wave.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
I shall appreciate any advice which helps me to produce a better painting next time

I don't think the rock texture is overdone, but I agree the wave is not quite as it could be! The foreground texture is lovely and the colours in the foreground are very pretty. i would change the angle on the right bank to be slightly more curved, I think it is a little bit too square, the water and wave could have more tonal variation as in darker areas, the water and wave are all a bit light. A good palette knife effort in my opinion! Others may have more useful critique! Cheers. Debs. =))

The main issue is that the rocks do not appear to be 'in' that water. Rather 'on' the water. They have no reflection which should be there even in choppy seas.
