Hello John, nice to see you as a member of WetCanvas. I'm one of the informants about ebsq! Beth Duri shared info about it with me and I've really felt that being a member has been an asset to my sales. When I decided to sell thru ebay, I knew that breaking into the high end auctions would be difficult because of the gallery presence. Presenting quality work at more affordable prices has been the key to my success!

Thanks for your foresight with ebsq! It's nice to feel a part of an inner group and not just one of the thousands!

Hello Everyone,

As the founder of ebsq I wanted to chime in here.

Basically, it looks like accurate information about my group has found its way here and I appreciate that. Average prices do seem to be around $35.00, to $40.00, but as far as top prices, we did have an artist achieve a new record of $710.00 last week.

It is tough going to get a reputation going on ebay, and its true that there is still a "bargain basement" feeling with may clients just looking for low priced items. And yes, as a result, much of the ebsq art is quick or cute.

What I hope (the eternal optimist) is that over time more collectors will get wind of the range of art on ebay, and artists of quality will begin to establish decent price
levels.

In the meantime, it is fun, you do meet people who genuinely will appreciate what you do, and you will find friends among the artists.

Just be patient, show work that you have some pride in, and see what happens.

Hi John,
I'm here also. Beth's reports of sales at ebay encouraged me to check out ebsq. What I found at ebsq is another great group of Artists, just as we have here on WC, a very diverse group with a common love of making Art. I've been around Wetcanvas for a long while and with ebsq for only a short while. All of us here on Wetcanvas (WC group, forgive me for speaking for all of you, http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif and on Artistnation, I believe have the same hope for ourselves and our Art as you have for the ebsq group of Artists, especially relating to sells on ebay.

Hey, thanks John, for dropping in and saying hi.

do you need to sign up before you put ebsq in your auction title?

Hi sue,
In case, John doesn't answer, what you do is go to the link he gave above and it will tell you what you need to know about signing up.
Actually, this page may help more. I think that you give them your email address to join. Go here for info:
