Here is my first attempt with my SB 80 DX onboard. I have another flash that I am trying to slave but can't get it to flash yet, using a wein peanut slave on a Vivitar. Just can't get it to flash. Oh well, all this just takes time and reading the manuals about 400 times. Anyway with the one flash and me jumping onto a foot stool 2 seconds ahead of the shot:eek: I did another one as a painting because it was badly out of focus and posted in the manip forum. Hope you enjoy:D

A very creditable self portrait, Wanda. It's nice to see that there are no burnt out areas that one so often gets when flash is used. Can't wait to see the results when you get the full set up working.

What a lovely lady you have as a model. ;)
Wanda...I love the both...but that second one is a real winner to my mind.

These are great sel portraits!
I quite like the unusual pose in #2 but I prefer the dark background in the first shot.

Hey guys, thanx for the comments. Considering the fact that this was a first time for me and that I had no idea of what the camera would capture (some of them were hysterical with me half in, half out of the shot), I'm not unhappy. I will be practicing on my neices this weekend, hope I can get the other flash to work by then:( and then we can see some pretty girls instead of this scruffy character!!!:D

Wanda an interesting way of setting up for self portraits is to connect your camera to your TV and use taht to frame your shot I like the second shots posing and composition

Thanks for that hint, Mike, I was really"hopping" trying to make it before the shutter went. And don't forget to publish those "glamour" shots;)
