I couldn't resist these two shots after a heavy downpour. I was particularly caught by the reflection of the tree.

Nice reflection shots. It would be fun to start a reflection series but alas.........very little rain here!:)

I love these.

I guess it's the fact that I grew up in Ireland but I love looking in and photographing puddles

I can't decide which one I like better. I love the reflection of the tree, but I also love the ripples in the second one. Great shots!

I don't usually reckon to follow your Mum when replying but I could not risk these vanishing before I had commented.

These are two fine photographs. I like not only the reflections of the trees in #1 but also the way the stony bottom shows through the water so clearly. To have managed such a sharp picture of the ripples created by a rain spot as in #2 is simply awesome. Well Done Indeed!

I like the ripply one because movement feels more dynamic:)

Thank You everyone who replyed to my post.

The ripple picture is the one I went out for, the tree reflection was a bonus that I could not resist.

Thanks again,

Nikki.

Yes - I like the ripple too. Is it actually from a rain drop or did you drop something in?

Seeing as you asked, Haggis, I sort of created my own rainfall. It had stopped raining when I was ready to take the shot.........so my eldest son sprayed the water gun into the air, so that the water would fall like rain. Surely I get brownie points for honesty;)

LOL - Of course you do :) The reason I asked is that the ground seemed to be drying and the puddle is dead calm except for the one big ripple. However I like like that anyway so - wel done!

Good job Nikki.

You have the coolest folks. They must have been fun when you were growing up.

I like the first one best.
