This is a beautiful shot, Kevin. I love the fragile nature of the roses, and the feeling of total reality in the DOF. You are one of my photographic IDOLS! :D

Oh it's gorgeous! I love that you included the name of the little white ones too! That is a great looking rose looks like what we call cabbage roses, which I love! :clap: :clap:

Hi Julie, Sunny.

The dof of this shot is reasonable for f5. Would have been better at f8 but it was overcast and no tripod. In these conditions, I find it is better to resist the temptation to zoom in and leave the lens at wideangle.

The 'little' white rose is extremely vigorous, Sunny. In the right place it will grow to 50 feet. Ideal for growing through an untidy tree - myriads of flowers - and has one of the best and strongest scents I know of. This one I grew from a cutting 5 years ago. Its at about 30 feet now and still growing.
