Whether you need a bigger lens or not, you must have been chuffed to snap an osprey
Your choke cherry looks like out bird cherry.

Sunny those ferns look very healthy and tall!

What a catch, to get such a big family. They weren't wasting anytime getting away from your and your camera.:D

Sunny I hadn't realized you splurged on a Minolta 7i , wow you are getting serious about picture taking eh?

To get some good shots of the osprey, gotta find a nest down low, that helps, cause when they launch off it, they drop down quite a bit. That or find their favorite feeding area.. Trimoon took me to a lock on a canal and there were 3 of them on the light posts. Got my camera ready and as I approached 1 he took off giving me a great spread wings talon shot.

Pretty and close catch of the swan.

Alan-I saw the Ospey & a mate! I stopped my car jumped out & started clicking! I knew they wouldn't be great because of the distance overhead & the sun was really bright but I was chuffed anyway!
Thanks Ozzie! If I had the d10 with my 300mm lens on it I could have gotten this one! This refuge was huge & you couldn't get close to the nest they were in huge trees! I saw the nest that it was in with my binoculars -my gosh it was massive!
I loved the ferns! And the geese were in a hurry & noisy!:D
Thanks guys!:D

Sunny. Some great shots here. I like the swan, so lovely. The ferns are beautiful and is that a little spider I see there? Good job.

SunnyJ,

I just love those fiddleheads! Very pre-historic with the misty/fuzzy background. :)

That swan is a good capture too!

Take care,
Flehmen
