For me there is some confusion about the light sources and value contrasts. Maybe the figures have to be darker, especially in the foreground (blue jacket, brown skirt)? It looks like after rain, not during rain. When it is raining there would be some mist.

thanks for those comments. I will look at the value and contasts a bit more. It was after the rain had stopped.

What I notice is that all parts of this painting are treated the same in terms of hue, value, contrast and edges. The COI is the couple interacting. I'd like to see some muting and edge blurring in the other parts of the painting.

Thanks for that imput. I darkened the main figures to pull them forward and blurred the competing lights. I also tried to pull some light through the female skirt to emphaize light from behind. I could blur the background buildings...what do you think? I believe the changes have improved it so thanks for that.
I reposted it here. Please let me know if you think its improved/more would help. Thanks for any futher input.
