After a short beta run, we are pleased to announce the availability of the new "Style Matching" service at Art-Agent.com!
What is it?
The style matcher is a tool that allows a user to browse the art-agent system by "artist", rather than by "piece". They plug in their stylistic preferences (paintings vs sculptures, acrylic vs oils, canvas vs paper, impressionistic vs realistic, etc.). They are then presented with a list of artists who "do" that type of work.
What does this mean to me as an ArtistNation member?
Associated with each artist's link is a "match meter score". This is directly representative of the "types" of works the artist has in the system. So if you put more sculpture entries into the gallery manager, you'll have a higher score when someone is searching for sculptures. Therefore, it is more important than ever that each artist get their body of work into the system, and categorize it as appropriately as possible.
Cheers!
Scott
