View Full Version : Early evening in the countryside
This is a "plein-aire" I did in my last vacations, in my wife's city. Instead of having a walk with wife and mother-in-law I'd rather draw :D :D :D
20 min, on my sketchbook, 6x8". Comments, critiques, suggestions???

looks great for 20 mins. of work! especially like the line of buildings in the distance, the perspective is great....if you darken the shadows, might strenghten the feeling of distance....
what are the pylon/post thingies in the foreground?

Well harrumph to you! I have the problem of wanting to enjoy a place with my husband so much that I forget to sketch it!
I like the composition in this one.
Thanks for looking Mindy, Monica, Danny and Prairie... ;)
Mindy - this place is around an abandoned brick industry. The building was demolished and this square was built, but the chimneys remained... Shadows??? What is this??? :D:D:D:D Have to correct this in all my drawings... :p
Prairie - I always enjoy all places with her, but I have to say that making exercises are not for me :D  :D ;)

Good sketch Eamon.
I especially like the sky, it seems to have a lot of movement, which contrasts well with those chimneys.
