I am not a horse expert but I like this drawing!! GREAT job on your hatching and shading Twyla!! :) Just a tip for the next one you do. When you have the dirt being kicked up like that try to render that using the stippling technique. It will give it more of a realistic look of dirt (dust) flying around :D:)

Hey Twyla..... lovely to see you over here.
This is a very fine drawing of a beautiful horse. Lovely shading on his/her face especially.
I do agree with Murray....the dots would work really well for the dirt flying ....try it next time:D

Great action picture, I like it the way it is. Stippling would be too soft compared to the rest of the lively line work, IMHO. That's real dirt flying around, not just dust!:evil:
