Kevin don't you just love the red maple, is it a lacy-leaf? They has such beautiful color and interesting leaf. Well done on those reds.

Hi All,

This one is 'Acer palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum. Slow growing and relatively trouble free but likes a sheltered spot away from cold winds which will scorch the leaves. Red is the colour of the leaves when they emerge right through to Autumn.

They seem to change shade depending how the light strikes them. But where sunlight shines through them they are always a bright crimson.

I also have a smaller green one with heavily divided leaves.
