Morro Bay is a small town on the Central California Coast. It's just north of San Luis Obispo and is just about half way between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

I lived there briefly as a child and have gone back a couple of times since my move back to CA nearly 10 years ago. One of the things I love about Morro Bay: No rush hour!

I LOVE MORRO BAY!!!!! My favorite town tho is Cambria. I lived in San Luis for 12 years.
As the pics were loading I was saying to myself...."But where's there Rock". Of course it was the last one to load. My daughters wedding photographer took them to Morro Bay to shoot at the beach. Got some stunning shots with the Rock in the background.
Thanks for digging thru your vault. I love the mountains but I do miss the coast. Especially when the temps reach about 90 as they are today.

Thanks, MaryJane and Sherloc!

That last one made my jaw drop, too, when I got it back from the photo finisher! It's probably the most popular one I've done...copies of it are on fireplace mantels and office walls of several friends and former co-workers.

Sherloc, I love it there too. Cambria is also a really nice spot. The lifestyle there has even more easy-going simplicity than Sonoma (now that so many people commute from there to SF/SiliValley to work). Like I said, I was just so amazed to be in a place where there was no rush hour!

I think, once I'm done with school, that I may look into moving down there. If I remember correctly, Cambria is meant to be sort of an artist colony, isn't it?

(You'll notice, though, the one thing I left out was the hideous PG&E smokestacks! They should be ashamed of themselves for ruining the landscape with those beasts!)

We were close by a week ago (in Santa Maria) and got down to Solvang, which as you know is also very photogenic :)

I really like your photo number two the best - love those reflections on the calm water!
