Not too long ago, in a small SC town, I decided to paint a small park that had been allowed to run down and had garbage strew about. I took a lot of artistic license with it to make it look like it "might be". I gave the painting to a town council member ...and to make a long story short...they have cleaned up the park and tried to make it look like the painting. So you can effect our environment as an artist!!!

Jerry, that's great news! I hope the people of your community appreciate how much you care!

Thanks....I think that artists can visualize things better than maybe others...maybe like interior designers and architects. But I think that may be a service we can do for people when they may be at a loss to make an area more "friendly" to others.

What a great idea and story. You saw the possibilities of what could be not of what was. http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Thanks...I think that people like you and all the artists here have a lot to contribute to our society that goes beyond art as it is generally discussed. Maybe that's naive or too idealistic ?? Just an opinion.

That's a wonderful thing to happen. I love our hometown parks! Lots of painting material in them and of them.

Tammy...that is true and when you bring it to peoples attention they (we) will generally act.
