These were taken in Caumsett State Park in New York last week while i was away. I manipulated the backgrounds to edit out the color, but aside from that, they are all straight out of my camera.

Saskya, I am in love with your eyes. You have a unique vision that is almost Zen-like in nature. Your photographs of nature are simple and fascinating at the same time. Even when you are manipulating the images, you have a light touch that enhances the images. Thanks for posting these.

Very nice use of selective coloring/desaturation. There is so much you can do with this technique the ideas are limitless..............and so fun.

There's a lot to be said for simplicity. If you listen quietly you can hear it.

Thank you so much for your comments - yes, i do prefer my photography to be simple.

And i honestly debated on whether or not to edit the color out with the backgrounds, because i do prefer my photography to be just that - as opposed to manipulations.

"zen-like" - *grin* I like that. Thank you!

G'day Saskya,

Very beautiful. Zen-like is a good word for it. I love how you use the space in the photos to show your focus. I'd definately say that the small changes you made to the images only helped them.

Hope to see more of ya!

Gorgeous! Love the contrasting photos. The pine cone and the wild geranium are my favorites. Nice contribution.
