LArubia, Your work is illustrative and I love it. Youve got your process down. really great.

Your paint brush "drawing" skill of anatomy and things has reached a level that puts you far apart from the rest of us. But that is greatly dependent on your ever reaching for, and gaining more and more, the illusive, mysterious, defining properties of LIGHT. This is a striking example of how every new painting you have posted here for two or three years - whatever - brings you ever closer to essential defining light.
Very curious to see the full composition shown, and what part the bird plays in theme, story, pictorial concept etc. For the moment, the girl seems to have no awareness the bird is perched on her shoulder.
Your devoted fan, Luke

Beautifully painted. I can see this illustrating a book of fairy tales.

I really love your painting. Is it oil or water? The colors are so alive.

http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/21-May-2012/75590-30.jpg had to work some more on it..the eyes were not quite aligned..chin too short..mouth corners not right and collarbones going a bit too high...portraiture is so exacting which is why i love it so...she doesn't look quite so pathetic!
Thankyou for the kind comments...Michelle it is in oil. StLukesGUild...aww..you are really too too kind:heart:

Perfect. The body language makes the bird and flower work in the same way and have a rightful place. This might be your very best to date. The light in all, but especially flesh tones, has a glow that is truly captivating. Colors sing in perfect harmony. Line and volume in dress and hair is a perfect sycopation to the smooth flesh.
