View Full Version : Another plein air
Here's another plein air piece I recently did in north central Florida. Around here it's easy to find somewhere marvelous to paint. --DJ

David, this sooooo says North central Florida! So many swampy creeks like this exist in my area. You've captured the humid, yet serene mood beautifully. Yes, the composition, as Animal has pointed out is good. It's great isn't it how these places compose thier own selves so nicley? I like the perspective and angle as well. This is clearly done from the view of a person standing fairly close to the shoreline. Hey! I think i know this place! (or some a lot like it! http://www.wetcanvas.com/ubb/smile.gif )

I keep coming back to this and trying to figure out what it is that's so arresting! I think it might have to do with the balance of dark warms in the foreground with the lighter warms in the background? Anyway, thanks for posting it, David. Sorry I haven't commented earlier. Good work!
