OOPS, I thought I had deleted this thread but it popped up and I didn't see it until my time to edit it had lapsed. This is the image to go with the title.
It's a pastel, 16 by 20 inches on sanded paper.
You pilots can tell He's high and wide, overshooting the turn to final. Alas I had to make him a poor pilot to get everything I wanted into the composition.

nice work !! i have pastels but just don't seem to be able to get along with them so appreciate those that can !!

Thank you Shadwell. I've quit using the dusties (soft pastels) and have taken up oil pastels.

Tricky perspective in that one Hal - nicely handled. The contrasted red and green works well.

I like that one - something very real about it. Lack of detail works in its favour, gives a feeling of motion.

Very nice, and in pastels..even more impressive for me, I have tried pastels and really struggle to do anything at all with them..so hats off to you....love it!
