I've already posted this one.. but here is a much better image- thanks to a tip from a fellow wc about the flash on the camera :D

Am quite happy with this piece. I'm thinking about entering it in a comp/exhibit...

All comments/critique welcome!

The colors are lovely.
It's a very sad image.

Good luck, if you enter it in a competition.

Such expressive brushwork - intense emotions.

Working with intense emotion really takes a lot of courage.

You have a real gift for putting it in paint.

So he....

The wail of the banshee. I like how the spectral effect brushes against the natural foreground without wavering it. Just yah!

"Mourning Has Broken" expresses the pain felt when you lose someone special- it's about realising your loved one won't make it back out of darkness. it's the process of realization hitting.

Thankyou for your nice comments towards the piece. I like to express what i feel through colours :)

Surreal/Nina :)
Thanks for looking here. And thankyou for your kind wishes.

That's a lovely thing to say to a bigginer in abstract :) I have done only a few pieces in abstract before i started painting with it a few weeks ago. I keep looking at this piece and i can't believe I produced it.

lol, thankyou. I'll let you know if i put this piece in for an exhibition and how it goes.

Thankyou again for being supportive and helpful!!

Have been intouch with an organiser of the yearly show here, to see if i can enter this painting. he has my number and said he'd give me a call to let me know sometime throughout next week.
if nothing comes of it, i tried.. will try other exhibits.
