Hi folks ..... you may have noticed I have changed my 'tinyhead'.
We celebrated the marriage of our daughter last Saturday...wonderful day...... we hired the services of caricaturist. He was great entertainment and did spledid drawings....about 6 or 7 minutes each.

larger version ...courtsey of David 'Dixie' Louis

Good caricaturists always floor me because they have to get the likeness, get the personality, exagerate it, do it all quickly (usually in front of a small audience) AND make it look effortless.

Those are great fun to watch being developed. I've never had one made, but it would be fun :)

Congratulations on your daughters marriage. I wish upon you no empty nest syndrome. Keep yourself busy with a full life and a lot of art work :D

Thanks everyone....seeing these guys in action is intriguing...full of confident strokes with the pen. He completed about 20, all of which were instantly recogniseable. Planning to print out a small booklet with them all in, to distribute to the family.

What a cool idea for the family for a rememberance. I love your tinyhead. I really don't see how they can do it all so fast. It amazes me.

I guess caricature is the ultimate in boiling images down to the essences. See what is unique about a person or thing, isolate that and exaggerate it, and fit it all together. It is amazing. Oh, and nice tinyhead, too. :)

Thanks Sharon and Oldthumbs....not sure where the idea to do it came from (must have been under the influence of P&I forum:D ), but we are very pleased with the results.

Thanks sassy......have so many things I want to try since joining WC, no chance of empty nest syndrome :)
