Hi, this is my first post to this forum. I've done a couple of lino cuts and some silk screen prints, but not many. I'd like to do more.
This idea came to me a few days ago, and I decided to do something about it tonight. Since I've been painting with acrylics lately, I just used the materials at hand.
I prepared a canvas with black gesso, then I quickly covered most of it with red acrylic paint. Then I produced a chinese chop design on paper and cut it out with a knife. I laid the paper on the canvas and dabbed black acrylic paint along the edges of the paper first, then filled in the remaining areas but left a few spots showing through.
Maybe this is a silly technical question, but is this considered a print or a painting?
